Poly Drivers: Read-a-Thon a spooky success

Poly Drive students found time to gobble up good books with their Read-a-Thon efforts. One hundred fifteen students read thousands of minutes and raised $10,115 for various PTA programs. Of this amount, $2,000 will go to Poly Drive’s library.
In the primary hall (grades K-3), the top pledge earner was Stella N. with $625. The top sponsor earner was Armin V. And Emma O. read the most, at 1,206 minutes. The primary classroom with the most minutes was Mrs. Colby’s, and the top earning classroom was Mrs. Whittmeyer’s.
In the intermediate hall (grades 4-6), Lydia P. won honors for top pledge earner, most sponsors and most read, with $435 pledged for her 3,077 minutes of reading. Top earnings and most minutes read classroom honors went to Mrs. Hanley’s class.
Poly Drive PTA extends a tremendous thank you to the Read-a-Thon’s sponsors: The Grand Escape Room, Get Air, Zoo Montana, Centennial Ice Arena, Wise Wonders Children’s Museum, Grandpa’s Corn Maze and Playnation, for their great prize contributions. We also thank Mrs. Caskey for her assistance and support with this event. And a huge thank you to all the Poly Drive students, parents, PTA volunteers and pledge supporters that participated in Read-a-Thon 2016!
