Poly Drivers: Soggy weather can’t stop Saturday Live fun

Wow! What a day for Saturday Live. Despite the inclement weather, we stuck it out all day as did many families (thankfully!) who enjoyed the abbreviat-ed activities. Because of the rain and wind, our Bungee Run was the only inflatable in the park, we didn’t even inflate until the rain stopped around 11; after that there was no stopping the masses! Many enjoyed Mystery Doors until we had to take it down due to wind.
The rest of our offerings were huge hits as well: Hot drinks and the Emoji store sold out of all available product just after 2, and Sweet C’s Kettle Corn couldn’t pop fast enough.
As a result, our net income from this event was $1,970- down just $80 from last year. All things considered, an amazing pull out!
According to the Education Foundation, the Poly Booth was the top dollar performer for this year, which we believe is a first!
Countless people are needed in order to make this event happen, so I would like to say THANK YOU to the all of the parents, teachers and students that helped in so many ways. And a special thank you to these businesses/parents who donated product and prizes:
-City Brew: coffee, hot water and accompaniments.
-Sweet C’s Kettle Corn & Splat Inflatables for giving us a screaming deal on our most popular offerings.
-Lave Masonry: prizes for Mystery Doors
-Shannon W: cocoa, tea, cider mixes, creamer, etc.
-Brooke S: candy for Mystery Doors
*And…the party isn’t a party if people don’t come, so THANK YOU, THANK YOU for bringing your families out to the park in spite of the weather-it was an awesome day after all!
