Poly Drive will celebrate International Walk to School Week with our Annual Walk (and Bike) to School-A-Thon and Walking School Bus! For those who are new to the concept, a walking school bus is a group of students walking to school as a group, under the watch of adults/parents and older students. Younger students are encouraged to “board” the bus at any point along its route to school.

The Poly Drive Walking School Bus will operate in the morning only, Monday, Oct. 3 through Friday, Oct. 7, beginning at the northwest corner of Poly & Hoover at approximately 7:55 am. The route will proceed toward campus on the north side of Poly Drive.  Parents who would like to start their own walking school bus on a different route are encouraged to do so.

Bicycle helmets are available at school for those in need. Connect with Mrs. Reas for these.

Great prizes and gift cards will be awarded to top participants. Classes will also compete with each other for bonus recess periods! Make sure your child logs his or her trips to and from school.

Log sheets were sent home this past week. The completed form is due no later than Oct. 14.
