The annual Butter Braid fundraiser has begun! Order forms and instructions were sent home in the Nov. 19 Wednesday Watch. Here’s a FAQ on the fundraiser. Last year $19,430 was raised through the Butter Braid Fundraiser, with proceeds being used toward the new playground equipment all the students are enjoying this year.
What’s a butter braid?
A butter braid is frozen pastry dough, made with 100% real butter, giving them a rich, homemade taste. There are different filling flavors: Apple, Bavarian Crème, Blueberry & Cream Cheese, Cherry, Cinnamon, Raspberry, Strawberry & Cream Cheese, and Double Chocolate.
They arrive frozen and can be stored for up to six months.
To use them, set on the counter the night before baking and then in the oven for 25-30 minutes, cool, and drizzle with icing for a delicious and beautiful treat.
You can see them at http://www.butterbraid.com.
How much is a butter braid?
They are sold for $14 each. Profits will go toward PTA initiatives.
Are there prizes for selling?
Yes, top sellers are rewarded.
Any tips for selling?
Sell safe – if going door to door, students must be accompanied by a parent.
Sell by phone, to relatives, work places, church groups and other groups your family’s involved in.
Payment must be collected at the time of the sale! Poly Drive PTA purchases the butter braids up front.
Checks should be made to Poly Drive PTA.
Double check your students’ orders and the money collected– accuracy is important for a smooth-running fundraiser.
